Don't Give Dem Chance.
Today, Christ silenced the enemy. Nothing he says can touch us. His blood over us forms a force field of protection nothing can permeate. No hex, no curse, no accusation, no strife of tongues. If they like they can speak it into water, into the air, into the moon, or even the sun. None of it will work against us. Why? Because Christ has, with his blood, muted their noise and neutralized all their power. Listen:
Colossians 2:13-15 You were dead in sins, and your sinful desires were not yet cut away. Then he gave you a share in the very life of Christ, for he forgave all your sins, and blotted out the charges proved against you, the list of his commandments which you had not obeyed. He took this list of sins and destroyed it by nailing it to Christ’s cross. In this way God took away Satan’s power to accuse you of sin (and hurt you) and God openly displayed to the whole world Christ’s triumph at the cross where your sins were all taken away.
Boom! The heathen rage but it shall be in vain.
But there is a loophole and the devil knows it better than we do. Today, Pastor Poju opened my eyes to it.
What can put a chink in our Christ bought Atonement armour?
Yes! Grudges, malice, bad bele, envy, jealousy...all these are symptoms of offense. And since the devil knows it, this is one of his chief tools. As bad as it is, the devil is not really after you getting offended by your close friend, spouse or child. What he is really seeking is an avenue to come through the back door and get you 'legally'. How come? When you are carrying offense in your heart, your hedge is broken. Cain was 'grudging' Abel. Bad bele was festering that's why God told him to be careful. Sin was crouching at his doorstep. Eventually he killed his brother. You know the rest.
I love all the things we celebrate about Christ but his resurrection is my most treasured. It's so powerful. Everything we are able to claim as our is because of God's work at Calvary through Christ. We must not let the enemy rob us by allowing some funny person cause us to be offended. Please! Right now, let it go. Let them go. Release them. In fact, pray for them. Yes, pray for them genuinely. Nothing they did is worth losing out on all what we have in Christ.
We must enjoy the FULL benefits of Christ's Atonement for us. Abi, what do you think?
From today, let's walk conscious of this. It's key to many of the doors God is preparing to usher us into. As individuals and I dare say as a nation. It's almost incredible how much offense we have riding the social media waves.....anyway, let's leave that. Let's face our own backyard.
Eh-hen! Happy Easter!!!
