Keep Calm and Let Your Life Exalt Nigeria!
I really want to get this blog right. PapaGod, I'm counting on you to help me share exactly what you want your children to understand today about Nigeria and our role in her 'New Dawn'. Yes, I am confident something has shifted in the spiritual for our Country but we ALL, each one of us, must play our part to usher in the 'new glory' that is coming. It's either that or we sit down, continue to sigh dejectedly and watch as evil continues to thrive. I refuse to do so any longer.
We are all familiar with the scripture in .Proverbs that says: Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin a reproach to people. But how many of us have really sat down to consider the fact that 'this nation' is not some abstract entity? It is made up of people. The nation of Nigeria is You and I. It is OUR righteousness that will exalt Nigeria! It is my sin, your sin that is a reproach to her right now. Yes, I know. It's much easier to attribute all our national woes to 'them' ; some group of people 'out there in Aso Rock or where ever. So far, how much good has that done us? None.
As God is so merciful, He has hearkened to the cries of the remnant and I totally agree with Pastor Hyacinth Aneke, A New Dawn is about to break over Nigeria. The storm is over BUT it's not all rainbows and lollipops yet. On the contrary, it's about to 'go down'! God's wrath is coming and there is going to be a gathering together of all the iniquity and all the wickedness for destruction. If you are a worker of such, if your sin is part of what is bringing reproach to Nigeria? You will be destroyed along with your works. Works range from lying to taking bribes to 'stealing' office stationary to falsifying accounts to murdering by mouth or by weapon to immoral activities to political/career ambitions built on the shedding of blood and every other work of flesh. We MUST remove our hands from them all! We must choose, in our personal daily lives to exalt Nigeria!
See, even if there is not an ounce of Patriotic blood flowing through your veins, know this: The way you live your life, especially if you are a parent has implications on your children and your family. Ahhhhh...Did that get your attention? Remember Achan? When he was being punished for his crime. The one he committed alone? Hope you remember what Joshua did? Let me remind you:
...Joshua took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the garment, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his oxen, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had, and they brought them to the Valley of Achor. (Read the full story in Joshua 7)
Catch my drift? You alone sin but your children, your business, your assets, all you have will ultimately suffer the consequences. Why would you let this happen? Why not rather be among those whose righteous living blesses not just Nigeria but your own family too? Why not be one of those whose lives exalt Nigeria?
If you see what God is saying to us and agree, please pray with me as Pastor Aneke led us:
Father, as a new glory is about to come upon Nigeria, I shall not bring reproach to my family nor to Nigeria. I shall, from this day, separate myself from every form of iniquity and/or wickedness. As you help me Lord, I shall live to bring blessings to my family and my righteousness shall exalt Nigeria in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
Glory be to God!
