My Determined Purpose
My determined purpose is that I may know Jesus Christ
That I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him
That, every day, I may perceive more, recognize more and understand more about the wonders of His Person That I may in that same way come to know the power out-flowing from His resurrection and experience it in all areas of my life.
That I may share His sufferings as I face trials of my own knowing that it is what I need to continually transform my spirit, mind and heart so that I reflect Christ more with each storm I survive.
That, just like Jesus Christ, I may daily 'die' to myself so that others might 'live'.
That as Christ loves me, I might love others. Actively.
My determined purpose is that the Resurrection Power of God be evident in my life.
I don't want to be one of those who just talk about or hear about this power.
I want to be the channel through which it flows! I want to 'own' the experience.
I am not interested in people knowing about me. I want people to know about the God that lives in me
I am so sorry for anything I have done till this moment that has displeased you. Forgive me Papa.
Wash me afresh in the cleansing Blood of your son, my Saviour Jesus Christ.
As from today, I surrender ALL to the control of your Holy Spirit. I promise to let Him have the final say.
Please help me keep my promise.
My determined purpose is that when I go out to face my world
When I speak a thing over my life
When I decree a thing over the lives of my loved ones
When I bind and loose concerning the affairs of my country, Nigeria
When I exercise my Blood-bought authority in the name of Jesus Christ
That God and all His Heavenly forces will back me up.
This is my Determined Purpose.

I shall print this out and read it out loud each day. I encourage you to do same if, like me, you also want this power I speak of. Thank you Dr. Onuzo for inspiring this 'purpose statement' with your Easter Sunday teaching based on Philippians 3:10.
