Salt Likes Lara George's 'Higher'

I was listening to this CD last night and as I did it triggered something deep in my soul and I knew I  had to blog about it.

First let me make something very clear. I don't like the CD at all.

I LOVE it.

Lara George inspires me to burst into spontaneous thanks to and praise of God! Motola, if you are reading this, thank you so much for gifting me this CD as a Christmas present. Each time I listen to it I cannot help but be filled up with so much Joy. It is totally impossible to listen to Lara sing like she does and sit or stand still! It is just not possible! In fact I double, triple dare you to listen to this CD and remain still for more than 15minutes into it! If you do, I shall have to question what spirit resides in you o! Lol!

Anyway, personally Lara does for me what Ceecee Winans does for me. She lifts my soul. She boosts my faith.  Lara has taken the special blend of 'Yorenglish' that she thrilled with in 'No One Like You' from her first CD to another level in this CD. If like me, you loved that about her, you will be blown away by her songs and lyrics on this one.

In 2013, I think believe we need to surround ourselves with music like Lara's music. Music that has the power to take us to a place where all we want to do is sing and dance joyfully for God. Praise music with lyrics, beats and melodies that take you to a place where you begin to watch a movie of your life and you realise what an awesome wonder God has been to you! How, through it all, God has been so so good to you. That is what listening to Lara's 'Higher' CD does for me and I thank her for it and brag on God for the awesome gift he has given his daughter. She has such a beautiful voice and she sings so genuinely.

And as I listened to her this evening, my mind went to one of the biggest testimonies of my whole entire life. I could tell you in words but I think this time more than ever, a picture (or two) is worth more than a million words. So permit me, for the very first time on this blog to share the full picture of my greatest treasure in life (after my Salvation) with you. With these photos, I testify that I am truly blessed & highly favoured. I testify that my bank account may not be in the bluest blue but I am indeed one wealthy woman. I testify that God and not people, always has the final say in my life and dear one reading this right now I encourage you, from the bottom of my heart,  go get Lara George's CD and let her inspire you to a place where you too will look at your life and testify of God's goodness to you. Yes, go listen to Lara and let her inspire you to lift God  'Higher'.

    1. Debbie, you know it. One of my fav songs goes thus 'Only you are holy, Only you are worthy, Only you are wonderful. There is no one else like you. Ever faithful, ever true, O my Lord, my heart, my life is a testimony!' That song was written for me. All of it is ONLY because of God.... Please go get this CD and tell me if I am exaggerating. Lol! I receive your greetings with thanks and send mine back to yours!

    1. Please do Tamie. I am pretty sure you will enjoy it too. God has blessed me indeed and this year I aim to stay in an attitude of gratitude, whether or wheternt. Lol! Sometimes life throws stuff at you but we need to make our joy dependent on who God is in our lives and the fact that we know he is always with us. Plus, nothing like a joy, grateful soul to annoy the devil. And THAT is my fav past time. Frustrating the devil. Please tap away Tamie. Tap away!

  10. My first time here. I followed your blog from your response on a post on madam sting ( http://www.nigerianscorpio.com/2013/01/christians-should-stop-deceiving-other.html?m=1). You gave a very good response to her post. Until we kill the intellectual, dispose of the academics and let go of our human ability we may not fully comprehend God. He is a God who transcends human civilization.

I will definitely visit your blog from now on because I love people who share my faith and can also encourage me to be closer to God.

    1. Hi Sykik!!!! Happy New Year! Yes, I feel so sad when we deny ourselves of God's ability to work in our lives because of our 'intelligence'. Ironic really cos he is the one that has gifted us all the knowledge and wisdom. You are so right. I believe in medical science and all that but I know that where man's science stops is just where God's power begins! Praise God!

Thank you so much for coming by and I look forward to 'seeing' more of you!
