Y.O.L.O ? *eyebrow quirked* Really?

First of all, my two teen children will not be amused that I am using this acronym being as I am old but as one of my favourite past times is annoying them as only a mother like me can, I am quite amused all by myself. Lol! Second of all, it is good to be back on the blog and funny enough, it did not feel like forever cos this woman was busy!

The best bit about my time off was spent at the Swagga/Ice factory in Epe cleaning out my mgm's office. It was a right mess cos since the day he opened the door and found a dead bat on the floor, we decided that we had to limit access. Yes o! How could a bat have gotten into an office that has a sealed up ceiling and doors/windows that are completely flushed? We did not even bother to ask too many questions. We just prayed cleansing prayers over the office and took action cos nothing you tell me will convince me that the bat was there for 'good'. As you can imagine, I was covered in sweat and grime by the time I was done but the office looked and smelled like Spring and I felt oh so good. Lol!

You ARE smarter than these mice, right?
Anyway, back to my question of the day? Do You Only Live Once? For that is what the acronym Y.O.L.O stands for. I mean, really? I have been thinking about this a lot since I first heard it. I am not so sure that as a Christian, I only live once. What do you think? I believe I get a chance to live twice. The life I am living now, my first life actually determines how and where I will live my second life. In fact my first life is critical because if I mess it up by living any how, I will not be happy at all cos while the first life has an expiry date, the second one does not. It goes on forever. So that means forever blissful or forever painful depending on where you end up, heaven or hell? So it is a wise person that takes time to think about where s/he would like to end up and then lives his/her first life accordingly.

So while I am all for living life to the fullest, taking risks and ticking off all the items in your bucket list, I would just like to place a small caution sign on the dashboard of that race car you are about to zoom off in that wide road. Even as you fasten your seat belt, ready to hit the road please read what it says:

YOLO all you want but remember, eternity is a long time to pay for the life you are living now.

So I would strongly advise that as much as you want to rock your life, rock it on the narrow path o!

I am just saying.

Welcome to the new month of September! Wow! Can you believe it? We are in the ember months already. I can almost smell Christmas!*doing my happy dance*

  2. Lol @ @rock it on the narrow path, but i so feel you on it though.

In the bid to live life to the fullest, we need to understand to live it in line with Gods will for us.

    1. Exactly my point. The funny thing is that God actually wants us to rock this life and to rock it abundantly for that matter. Lol! Just in a way that brings glory to his name and does not block our access to the party of all parties, the eternal mega-jam in the skies that he paid such a high price to organize for us. Thanks for coming by Jhazmyn.
